Lovely shades, measuring instructions confusing

I love my shades, but be sure you understand how to measure for what you want. It was recommended on the Mesken website to add 3-4 inches to my actual window casing measurement. That seemed too wide. Instead, i gave my actual casing measurements. We could barely install the shades as they were almost too narrow.

Great product and wonderful service!
